    A novel fabric defect detection algorithm based on textural differential visual saliency model

    In order to effectively detect defect for fabirc image with variety of defects and complex texture, a novel fabric defect detection scheme based on textural difference-based visual saliency model was proposed, which considered the characteristics of fabric image and human visual perception. First, the test image was split into image blocks, and textural feature was extracted using LBP operator for each image block. Second, saliency was calculated by comparing their textural feature with the average texture feature. Finally, the threshold segmentation algorithm was used to localize the defect region. Comparing with the current saliency model, the proposed saliency model could effectively distinguish the defect. In addition, segmentation scheme was superior to the current defect detection algorithm in detection and localization.

    An ordering method of fuzzy evaluating linguistic values based on equivalence relation was proposed, and its properties were analyzed. It was proved that the ordering method could make a linear ordering among fuzzy evaluating linguistic values, which meaned that the ordering method could provide the unique optimal solution of fuzzy multi-criteria linguistic decision-making. Example analysis showed that the proposed method could be used to avoid the drawback of pre-order relation, which could be an alternative method of fuzzy multi-criteria linguistic decision-making method.

    A COAP-based unified Web access architecture was proposed, through which several different RFID networks could seamlessly join the internet. Moreover, a new Web access approach was presented, which could bind SOAP to the constrained application protocol (CoAP). Experimental results showed that the SOAP/CoAP binding was an effective unified Web access approach to RFID networks, which had much lower network overhead compared with traditional SOAP/HTTP binding approach.

    Particle swarm optimization (PSO) had the defects of low precision, and that were easily to be trapped in local optimization. To solve these problems, an neural network based on improved PSO was proposed for forecasting the real estate market. This algorithm introduced chaos sequence to update the weight and threshold, which could improve the quality of samples, reduce the local optimization and enhance the global searching ability. In addition, the avoid factor was set, which could make the particles be away from low likelihood area. Simulation results showed that this algorithm improved the accuracy of the weight and threshold.

    A sliding mode control scheme was proposed for a class of stochastic singular Markovian jump systems with time-varying delays and mismatched uncertain parameters. A switching function without Markovian jump were constructed at first, and a sufficient condition of the stochastically robust asymptotic stability was obtained for the system in terms of linear matrix inequalities(LMIs). Secondly, sliding mode controllers and switching laws are designed by the Lyapunov stability method to make state trajectories of the closed-loop system reach switching surfaces in finite time. Finally, the stable sliding mode dynamics was resulted for the closed-loop system. The proposed scheme was testified to be effective and feasible by a numerical example.

    In the intensive freshwater aquaculture of Litopenaeus Vannamei, temperature, pH value, and non-ionic ammonium mass concentration are the three important factors to evaluate water quality. Based on the existing nonlinear coupling relationship among the three factors, the inner structure of water information fusion agent and a novel two-layer-information-fusion-algorithm were proposed. In the first layer of the fusion algorithm, a forward reasoning machine could infer whether or not the water quality factors are out of the standard range based on a rule base. In the sencond layer of the fusion algorithm, database searching and fixed step strategies were adopted to find the proper values of temperature and pH value based on the coupling relationship model of water quality factors. Then, the fusion algorithm adjusted the values of temperature, pH value, and non-ionic ammonium mass concentration to meet the aquaculture requirements. Experimental results showed that the proposed information fusion algorithm could adjust the aquaculture water quality effectively, and reduce the frequency of water exchange.

    By integrating the outer inverse packet set with outer inverse packet reasoning, the generation of intelligent fusion and its attribute feature of outer inverse packet information were proposed. Then the concepts of intelligent fusion degree and intelligent fusion coefficients about information were given. Based on the above concepts, the intelligent fusion annulus theorem and the fusion degree-coefficient theorem of internal information were proposed. In addition, the structure and the correlation theorems of attribute disjunctive contraction of outer inverse packet information were put forth.

    The construction process of a shallow buried tunnel crossing the water rich sand layer was analyzed in Shenzhen by 3-D numerical simulation, the deformation and the stress of the surrounding rock were discussed under the circumstances of using horizontal jet grouting pile or not in the process of excavating. Based on the numerical simulation and the measurement results, a conclusion could be drawn that the application of the horizontal jet grouting pile had significant effect in controlling the deformation, the subsidence of support and the stress of support. Furthermore, some solutions were put forth to some problems in the construction of horizontal jet grouting pile and the direction of the development. The obtained conclusions could provide experience and numerical support for the design and construction of the similar situation.

    A new thermal calculation model for quad-sectional regenerative air preheater was investigated based on the analysis of operating mode and heat transfer characteristics of quad-sectional air preheaters. The model included two calculating steps: the average outlet flue gas temperature and the weighted average outlet air temperature were obtained through the first step calculation; and based on the first step calculation results, the average outlet air temperatures were obtained in right-secondary airside, primary air side and left-secondary airside respectively by the second step calculation. The results showed that the maximum and minimum relative deviations between calculated values and design values were 2.27% and 0.21% respectively. For a 300 MW circulating fluidized bed boiler unit with quad-sectional air preheater, the maximum and average relative deviations between calculated values and actual operation data were 4% and 1.8% respectively, the accuracy and reliability of this thermal calculation model were verified.

    Through an analysis on concentrator, receiver and Stirling engine, the functional relationships among each modules were obtained, the energy tranfer model of dish solar thermal power system was built. The simulation and analysis on the performances of dish Stirling system were carried out under different climates conditions by using energy transfer model. The results showed that the engine pressure exhibited linear relationship with the solar direct normal insolation; when the hot-head temperature kept in setting range, the net output power of the system increased with the engine pressure increasing; while the ambient temperature decreased, the Stirling engine efficiency increased and the net output power increased slightly; while the wind speed increased, the receiver efficiency and the net output power increased.

    Experimental studies, establishing a stable thermal state flow field with 4 tube rows and multiple columns (varied from 2 to 10) in staggered and in-line arrangement, were carried out to analyze the rules of the heat transfer and flow characteristics under different tube rows to obtain the influence rules of flowing around front tubes on the resistance of back rows. In order to obtain the influence rules of the number of tube rows on the resistance characteristics, bundle resistance correction coefficient was defined and values were given according to a series of experimental data. Rate of relative field synergy based on the field synergy principle was defined to characterize the ratio of the overall heat transfer efficiency relative to the actual maximum heat transfer with different numbers of tube rows. The results showed that the flow disturbance around the tail was the major factor in the deterioration of the resistance and the enhancement of the heat transfer, the flow fields up to 10 rows were well-distributed with the minimum influence of the flow disturbance around the tail and small synergy angles, the flow fields within 10 rows should be corrected with tube row correction factor.

    The joint application test bench for solar-thermal photovoltaic was set up to study solar Kalina cycle. The analysis and testing of thermal performance on solar evacuated tube was carried out with methods of experimental and numerical simulation through the experiment platform of single tube solar water heater. The temperature and velocity field of single tube solar water heater were visible analyzed with field synergy principle. The study showed that the two dimensional numerical calculation model could accurately reflect the trend of all-glass evacuated tube solar water heater in the same conditions and the coefficient of field synergy on evacuated tube which was equipped with guide plate was superior to other structures. It was finally confirmed that the Φ58 mm×1 800 mm of solar evacuated tube equipped with reflector and guide plate was the best choice.
    First-principles study of electronic and optical properties of Mn-doped cubic ZrO2

    First-principles calculations based on DFT+U were performed on electronic and optical properties of Mn-doped cubic ZrO2. When Zr was replaced by Mn in cubic ZrO2, the density of states spectra showed that a band gap reduction was observed and an obvious increase at the top of valence band could make the width of valence band broader by about ~5%. In the majority spin, the states near the Fermi level were attributed to Mn 3 d states with a strong admixture of O 2p states, which resulted in a half-metallic ferromagnetism behavior of the system and may be the reason to cause the band gap reduction. By Mn doping, it found that there was an obvious increase of refractive index, and there was also a new steep absorption peak at lower energy region around 2.8 eV, which could be used for photo absorption applications. The ferromagnetism in Mn-doped system was explained by Zener's double exchange mechanism for ferromagnetism as in other compounds, and the probable relations between electronic structure and optical properties were also found out.

    Through the application of the fuzzy Markov process in the maintainance decision of equipment, the incorrectness of the maintenance decisions caused by the uncertainty of transition rates of aging equipment could be solved. First, fuzzy Markov models were developed in which the transition rates were represented by fuzzy membership functions. And then, extension principle was used to calculate the fuzzy availability. At last, an optimization method was proposed to get the optimal inspection rates of the equipment for maximum availability. Test results indicated that the proposed method was practical and promising,thus it can be widely used in power equipment maintenance optimization.
