Experimental preparation of nanosized hydroxyapatite

Abstract: Nanosized hydroxyapatite(HA) powder was prepared by using NaP as a dispersant and removing water by azeotropic distillation processing. Then the phase, morphology, particle size distribution were separately characterized by the Xray Diffractometer, Transmission Electron Microscope and Particle Size Distribution Device Instrument. The main purpose is to observe the dispersion effects of NaP and azeotropic distillation processing. The experimental results show that NaP has a certain function as a dispersant and has an optimal dispersing spot of about 20%, which will reduce the thermal stability of HA powder. Further, azeotropic distillation processing can effectively prevent agglomerating.
