    On the basis of the work about metastable phase in alloy melts, the characteristics for it are analyzed further as follows. Firstly, the three temperature zones in the melts are brought forward. Secondly, the concept of “multistate" exists in the ambiguous zone. Thirdly, the absence of single phase zone is possible for some alloy melts. Fourthly, the viscosity theory on the fluid cluster diffusion proposed by EinsteinDebye (η∝kT/(df.D)) is no longer applicable in the supercooled region.

    The technologies currently used cannot effectively detect foreign fibers in cotton for their diversity and some almost the same appearance as the cotton fibers, which are paid more attention by many countries. This paper presents an inspecting system for foreign fibers based on machine vision. Then the key technologies of subsystems are respectively discussed. In this paper, a color clustering algorithm for detecting foreign fibers is proposed. The experiment result indicates that most of the foreign fibers can be detected.

    More and more complicated minimally invasive surgery calls for new methods for education and training. Surgical training systems based on virtual reality (VR) and simulation techniques provide a feasible approach. The paper presents a basic laparoscopic surgical skills training system based on VRML and Java, which is webbased and lowcost. The simulation system has been applied to basic skills training which is significant for a surgeon.

    Based on the mixed model, cavity model is modified to establish numerical equations of the two dimensional unsteady model which can be benefited in the inner high velocity jet flow field of the nozzle. The influence of structural and operating parameters on the nozzle is analyzed. The optimized range of structural and operating parameters of low pressurehigh mass flow pulsed jet are obtained by experimental research. The Fluent computation is employed to show the correspondence with experimentation.

    A new airvelocity measuring unit named KBX3 backtoback type is designed to adapt to the local formidable conditions of the power plant. Its velocity coefficient is stable, and wearresisting property is high. Based on JBuilder software and Fieldbus Technology, this system could monitor and save parameters at all times, such as primary and secondary air velocities, coalair concentration and pulverized coalair temperature. It could realize the inquiry of past records, analyzing trend curve, detecting failures and alarming. These functions are the basis for adjusting operation, diagnosing and air distribution of boiler. Thereby it could increase the safety, stability and economicality in boiler operation significantly, and the optimal operation can be achieved for the combustion of boiler's chamber.

    A new speech enhancement method based on multitaper spectrum method and wavelet thresholding is proposed so that a noisy speech power spectrum is obtained. As for the faults of the hardthresholding and softthresholding, an improved model of threshold (the modulus squared mode1) is presented. During the noise estimation, the estimation of its spectrum is updated by tracking the speechabsent frames. The experimental results show that this method presented here can quickly track the changes of the speech and has better denoise function. When combining the method with speech enhancement, the enhancement result is better than that of STSA algorithm.

    This paper introduces a Javabased visual Graph Editing Interactive System Tsingway Studio. It describes the data model, definition and presentation of graph elements of the system. It also shows the implementation of view adjusting, interaction controlling and cutline editing and drawing. Based on the Tsingway Studio, the system realizes the specific graphics editor/browser orienting the specific application and user, which can integrate with other applied system expediently.

    Medical image registration based on Mutual Information(MI) is a hot topic in registration research. The MI's formula is modified to reduce computing cost, and the replace of Powell's search direction is also rectified to reserve the original direction, Multiresolution method is used in our registration test. The results show that the modified MI measure can reach subvoxel precision, and the registration time is reduced remarkably.

    A new multicast network based on Omega network, called FiO, is proposed. This network is constructed by one Omega-1 network and four Omega networks with serieswound connection pattern, which is modified suitably in middle stage,and the hardware cost is O(5/2N log N). A new selfrouting algorithm on FiO network is also proposed to determine middbestate by exchanging setting, and the initial setting time is O(N) and the communication time is O(N). FiO network is very easy to be integrated for hardware because of the simple structure of Omega network, and its capability for multicast is better than other networks proposed ever before so that it has preferable application value and development potential.

    A new method to machine cylindrical helical gear with minority number of teeth (2~5) and small diameter on spline miller is described in this paper. The effectiveness of this new method can be improved by 10 times compare to that of traditional machining on gearhobbing machine. The expressions of undifferentical side set change speed gear about machining cylindrical helical gear with spline miller are given as well as the expressions of side set change speed gear ratio. As a result, the gear precision can be improved by the technology of high speed honing and the degree of roughness is Ra0.4, which attributes to preventing the undesired sound of gearing mesh from being higher than 70 dB.

    Using an engineering example, this paper discusses the method of determining elastic deformation criterion for earth roadbed in detail. It points out that when regression equations need to be established by regression analysis to determine the elastic deformation criterion, two kinds of regression equations which have high reliabilities should be set up by the same measured datas. The independent variable and the dependent variable of one regression equation are respectively the elastic modulus E0 and the elastic deformation l0, but another one's independent variable and dependent variable are l0 and E0 respectively. Which regression equation should be used depends on the relationship between the designed E0 of subgrade and the intersection point P of two curves which are respectively corresponding to the two regression equations stated above. If the designed E0 is less than Ep, the regression equation whose independent variable is l0 should be used, otherwise the other one should be utilized.

    Anaerobic granular sludge from EGSB was inoculated to an SBR, where glucose was used as the carbon source and aerobic condition was kept, in order to research the technology of aerobic granular sludge cultivated by anaerobic granular sludge. The changes of granules' shape, structure, COD, TP, TN and SS are observed in order to study the process of cultivating aerobic granular sludge. The reserches find that the anaerobic granular takes a role of carriers, and the sludge concentration, granular diameter and settlement ability decrease at first and then increase to constant stage for 45 days. And the aerobic granular sludge is different from naerobic granular sludge at diameter and structureotcetc, and its removal rates of COD, TP, TN can reach 94%, 70% and 60%, respectively.

    Networks organization is one type of governing mechanisms between firms and marketing. In the views of the gaming theories, firms in networks participate in both economic transaction games and social exchanges games at the same time. Social capital in networks releases the constraints in the economic transaction games. A new coordinated games model is constructed to explain the firm's behaviors in networks. In analyzing the objective functions of a firm′s crossdomain coordination, we draw a conclusion that the investments a firm makes in productive capabilities and in networks governance capabilities must be in accordance with the contribution of economic factors and social capital in the firm's growths. Management implication is given at the end.

    The diffusion reaction model of conductance for porous gas senning thin film is proposed; from solving and nondimentionally analyzing the reaction diffusion equation, the rule of τs and τc, τc=τs/r=(2/π)2kCr-10l2/D, is put for ward; using combination of theoretical and experimental methods, the surface adsorption exponent and adsorbing energy Ea are investigated.The experimental results indicated that there are two adsorptive characteristics of C2H5OH in the ZnO film. ① There are two different temperature ranges: the energy of physical adsorption is not same with upper 380?℃ and lower 380?℃. ② It has bigger physical adsorption energy.

    The effects of grain size on the random anisotropy constant 〈Keff〉 in Nd2Fe14B/αFe nanocomposite magnet have been investigated. The results show that 〈Keff〉 of the magnet decreases with the increase of the size of soft magnetic grain (Ds) and the decrease of the size of hard one (Dh), and if the magnet wants to obtaind bigger random anisotropy, Ds should decrease to 10 nm or so and Dh should increase as far as possible, and if the magnet expects to have higher magnetic energy product, Dh should be bigger than 10 nm and Ds should be 10 nm or so.

    This paper studied the direct oxidation and catalytic oxidation of simulated wastewater containing naphthol green B with chlorine dioxide as oxidant. The COD, BOD removal efficiency, and decolor efficiency are 45.3%, 11.2%, and 92.5%, respectively, at the condition of wastewater's COD 1533 mg/L, the optimum pH value 1.2, the dosage of chlorine dioxide 1500 mg/L by reacting for 60 min. The COD, BOD removal efficiency, and decolor efficiency are 52.5%, 48.1%, and 96.4%, respectively, at the condition of wastewater's COD 1533 mg/L, the optimum pH value 1.2, the dosage of chlorine dioxide 1500 mg/L, the dosage of TiO2 0.25 g by reacting for 60 min. The result indicates that the naphthalin ring in Naphthol green B molecule is degraded as organic acid and benzoquinone, and further becomes inorganic substances by chlorine dioxide direct oxidation and catalytic oxidation so that the ability to biology treatment of the difficulty degradation wastewater is improved, which is good for the further treatment.

    Two dataaided channel estimation methods named KD (known delays) estimation and UKD (unknown delays) estimation are presented. The influence caused by the number of the training symbols is analyzed. The BER performances of MRC (maximum ratio combing) Rake receiver with both KD estimation and UKD estimation are verified and compared via simulations. The simulation results show that the KD estimation outperforms the UKD estimation in dense multipath environments. The more the training symbols are used, the better the system performance is.

    Based on the primaldual logarithmicbarrier method, a novel method for optimal power flow problem is presented in this paper. The barrier function is improved in the modified primaldual logarithmicbarrier method which solves the constrained optimization problem and avoids the identification problem to the active constraints boundary. The simulation results of reactive power optimization for IEEE 30bus system demonstrate the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed method.
