A novel 3D model retrieval method fusing global and local information

Abstract: 3D model retrieval methods based on feature fusion could improve the retrieval efficiency. A novel retrieval method fusing global and local information was proposed. Edge feature for global information and word frequency vector feature for local information were extracted through Canny algorithm and bag-of-feature based on scale-invariant feature transform(SIFT)features respectively, then they were fused into a new feature of a 3D model. The experimental results showed that our method improves the retrieval accuracy well.
