    Interactive genetic algorithms, whose individual’s fitness is assigned by a user, are effective methods to solve a complicated optimization problem with its indices being hard or even impossible to be explicitly described. In order to alleviate user fatigue and improve the algorithm’s performance, we presented an efficient interactive genetic algorithm with extracting evolutionary knowledge based on a directed graph. First, some pairs of tournament evaluated evolutionary individuals were constructed according to the evolutionary population, and the dominance relations of these individuals were obtained. Then a directed graph was built, an individual’s fitness was calculated by using the indegree and outdegree of its corresponding vertex of the directed graph, and some superior individuals as well as building blocks were obtained. Finally, some new individuals were generated based on these building blocks and involved in the subsequent evolutions. The proposed algorithm was applied in a fashion evolutionary design system and the results showed the algorithm’s advantage in alleviating user fatigue and improving search performance.

    A twodimensional sine quadric surface model accord with the ridge gray distributing rule was designed, and a fingerprint enhancement algorithm was produced based on the model after analyzing the basic character of the fingerprint image. The experimental results indicated that the fingerprint enhancement algorithm had better connecting ability for broken ridges than the Gabor fingerprint enhancement algorithm. The algorithm can effectively improve the fingerprint image enhancement result and the accuracy of the minutiae extracting result.

    Linearization is one of the most powerful tools in control of nonlinear systems. It has obtained various applications in aircraft pilot control, safety control of power systems,

    chemical reactor control, economical system, biological system, robot control etc. This survey outlines the long history and the recent development of linearization, including different techniques and useful results. We first recall the development of the linearization from approximated one to exact one. Poincare’s linearization is reviewed. The necessary and sufficient conditions and algorithms of the state feedback linearization are mentioned. Then various kinds of linearizations are surveyed, which includes the global linearization, full linearization, inputoutput linearization, nonregular feedback linearization. Partial linearization and its relationship with relative degrees are sequentially discussed. Some other linearization techniques such as dynamic feedback linearization, approximate linearization, Carleman Linearization etc. are also briefly introduced. The paper is expected to provide a complete picture of linearization: its past, present and key issues for further investigation.

    This paper presents an H∞ controller synthesis method for discrete time fuzzy dynamic systems based on a piecewise smooth Lyapunov function. The basic idea of the proposed approach is to construct controllers for the fuzzy dynamic systems in such a way that a piecewise smooth Lyapunov function can be used to establish the global stability with H∞ performance of the resulting closed loop fuzzy control systems. It is shown that the control laws can be obtained by solving a set of Bilinear Matrix Inequalities (BMIs). An example is given to illustrate the application of the proposed method.

    The simultaneous stabilization of a finite collection of nonlinear PortControlled Hamiltonian (PCH) systems is investigated in this paper, and a number of new results on the control design are proposed via output feedback. First, using the PCH systems’ structural properties and the systems’ zerostate detectability, a new control design method is developed. Then, in the case of external disturbances and/or parametric uncertainties in the PCH systems three kinds of simultaneous stabilization laws are proposed. The first one is a robust simultaneous stabilizer, the second is an adaptive simultaneous stabilizer, and the last is a robust adaptive H∞ simultaneous stabilizer. Study of an illustrative example with simulations shows that the control design methods obtained in this paper work very well.

    The guaranteed cost control problem was studied regarding a class of uncertain singular timedelay systems with nonlinear perturbation. Based on the Lyapunov stability theory and the linear matrix inequality approach,the sufficient condition and conformation approach of the guaranteed cost controller was given, which could make the closedloop systems quadratic stable for all admissible uncertainties,as well as guarantying the cost was bounded in a limitation. Finally, an example′s result showed the efficiency of this method.

    How to stabilize the pressure of largeflow mixed gas is a key technique in combined cycle power plant of a steel mill. The fluctuation mechanism of mixed gas was discussed and an active control strategy was presented. Then, the dead band of a control valve and its adverse effects were analyzed and a compensation method for reducing the dead band was investigated. The results show that the dead band compensation can be realized by adding dither signals to the actuator of control valve and the active control method can attenuate the pressure fluctuation of mixed gas effectively.

    For aircraft monolithic component, because of the complication of machining distortion, the straightening parameters are difficult to be determined exactly in the process of distortion correction, which may destroy the workpiece. The FEM analysis of the straightening process was executed based on the pressuredeflectionResidual deflection curve. According to this curve, the reasonable straightening parameter of pressure can be determined to apply to the straightening process and the safety load limit for the straightening process could also be determined by twice the slope of the elastic rebound curve to the load axis.

    Dyesensitized solar cells (DSC) have gained more and more attentions due to its high efficiency, low cost, relative ordinary execution technique and steady performance. Currently, the most important issue for DSC development is to further increase conversion efficiency by reducing dark currents. In this present work, the different TiCl4 processing is used for the decoration of TiO2 photoanode in dyesensitized solar cells. The photovoltaic performance of the builtup dyesensitized TiO2 solar cells was investigated. By measuring the decay of Uoc with the time going after the irradiations of pulse monochrome wavelengths, we analyzed the different photoelectron recombination effects due to excitation states caused by 248 nm excimer pulse laser. It was revealed that the treatment of TiO2 photoanode plays a significant role in reducing dark current and enhancing photoelectronic conversion efficiency of dyesensitized TiO2 solar cells.

    One zeolite capsule catalyst with a new core(Co/Al2O3)/shell(Hbeta membrane) structure was prepared and utilized for the middle isoparaffin direct synthesis via FischerTropsch synthesis (FTS) reaction. Characterization results exhibited that this beta zeolite capsule catalyst had a compact, integral beta shell. In FTS reaction on this beta zeolite capsule catalyst, hydrocarbons of C12+ were totally suppressed, accompanied by a sharp antiAndersonSchultzFlory (ASF) law product distribution. The selectivity of light isoparaffin was improved obviously, but with the increase of the olefin’s selectivity. Based on this core/shell Hbeta zeolite capsule catalyst, a novel palladium painted zeolite capsule catalyst with tripart core/shell/paint structure was prepared. Dependent on the palladium role of hydrogenation and hydrogen spillover, the olefins effused from the zeolite capsule catalyst were hydrogenated effectively, mostly converted to isoparaffin. The result proved that this tripart Hbeta zeolite capsule catalyst was effective, especially for the consecutively multistep reaction.

    The interface is one of the key components of composite materials, which plays an important role in the fracture process and mechanical properties. In the current work, glass fiber surfaces were treated via the selfassembly monolayer method. The fracture process and mechanical properties of composites with different interfacial strength were investigated by a homemade tensile tester with an additional polarizing microscope. The results showed that in the case of a strong interface between the reinforcing fiber and matrix, the composites fracture in brittle mode, whereas in the case of a weak interface, the composites fracture in ductile mode. Furthermore, the reinforcing efficiency of the composite is related to the interfacial strength.

    The method of electrochemical corrosion was used to accelerate the reinforced concrete beams degeneration, and the corrosive degrees of rebars were studied with macro and quantitative methods. The corroded beams were loaded to study the mechanical property and bearing capacity. The test results indicated that the corrosion of reinforcing rebars have influences on the bearing capacity of beams, the severe corrosion of reinforcing rebars have evident influences on the stiffness of the beams, the inhibited effect of reinforcing rebars to the expansion of bending crack decreases with the increment of the corrosion.

    Because the HMA fatigue limit is the theoretical base of perpetual pavement design, to grasp the strain distribution and strain action of HMA layer is key for perpetual pavement design. The traffic, axle load spectrum and pavement temperature of a perpetual pavement test road was analyzed by field measured data. The characteristic of asphalt layers dynamic strain pulse was analyzed and regression models were constructed based on controlled axle load truck tests, which could correlate the maximum longitudinal tensile strain to pavement temperature and axle load. Based on the axle load spectrum, temperature distribution and strain regression models, the pavement strain distribution in a year was calculated. According to the fatigue limit theory, the cumulative damage method was used to calculate the pavement fatigue life, and the fatigue life of perpetual pavement test road was analyzed.

    The asphalt is easy to static harden and oxidative harden under environmental effects to induce its change of rheological characteristics, which can seriously influence the durability of asphalt pavement. Therefore, it is critical to reasonably evaluate and select the asphalt to ensure the quality of asphalt pavement. Based on the results of the components of three base asphalts and their conventional tests (penetration, soften point and ductility) and SHRP tests (DSR and BBR test), the aging behavior and mechanism of base asphalts were analyzed based on the FTIR test. The results showed that although the conventional tests can describe the variations of base asphalts before and after asphalt aging, they can only provide the test message of specific temperature and load frequency. On the contrary, SHRP tests can reflect the influence of aging to the whole rheological behavior of base asphalt. Therefore, SHRP rheological indexes, especially BBR test results, were suggested as the evaluation indexes of the asphalt aging characteristic.

    The test case prioritization is an effective technique of regression testing. However, the existing techniques mainly focus on the reused test suite, and ignored the supplemental test cases. To solve this problem, a new dynamic prioritization method was presented for supplemental test cases by extending the usage of previous prioritization techniques. Also, its implementation in the parallel scenario was discussed. A case study was used to indicate the conclusion that the new method could improve the effectiveness of the supplemental test cases.

    A multipath routing algorithm can balance network load and prolong the lifetime of the whole network in a mobile Ad hoc network. The ndivided multipath dynamic source routing algorithm was presented. Taking the routing hops, the residual energy of node and routing congestion into consideration, this algorithm can introduce path delay factor, node energy factor and path estimate factor to find more efficient paths. The simulation results indicated that this algorithm can balance loading among all nodes and maximize the lifetime of the whole network.
