A method based on cosine similarity in supplier selection

Abstract: An improved TOPSIS(technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution)based on cosine similarity was proposed and applied to supplier selection. The distance metric based on cosine similarity implicated the weights of attribute in the traditional TOPSIS, and then the proposed method could improve the objectivity of decision. An application on supplier selection was given to show the strong scientificalness and rationality of the proposed method.
