Fuzzy multi-criteria linguistic decision-making method based on equivalence relation

Abstract: An ordering method of fuzzy evaluating linguistic values based on equivalence relation was proposed, and its properties were analyzed. It was proved that the ordering method could make a linear ordering among fuzzy evaluating linguistic values, which meaned that the ordering method could provide the unique optimal solution of fuzzy multi-criteria linguistic decision-making. Example analysis showed that the proposed method could be used to avoid the drawback of pre-order relation, which could be an alternative method of fuzzy multi-criteria linguistic decision-making method.
