Modeling for traffic overflow mechanism and its simulation on urban arterial road

摘要:

通过视频检测器获取路段的实时排队长度,结合冲击波理论和累积的输入输出方法,提出了基于“物理排队”的交通溢流发生机理模型。模型包含了动态排队长度、溢流持续时间和平均溢出长度的估计方法。模型结果与仿真结果做了对比,结果显示该模型能较为准确地反映交通溢流发生的实际状况。

Abstract:

 The queue length was obtained by the video detector, shockwave theory and cumulative input-output techniques were combined to conduct the traffic spillover occurrence mechanism model based on physical queue. The estimate methods of dynamical queue length, duration time of a spillover and average overflow queue length were included in the model. At last, the comparison  between the results of simulation and model were conducted,  and the results showed the new model could reflect a more practical situation.
