Abstract: Image range blocks are encoded based on fixed location domain blocks in different wavelet scales. Furthermore, the encoding time can be shortened by using the correlation between different wavelet scales. Simulations show that compared to the searchless method in spatial domain, the runtime of our method is shortened about 7 times with a little loss of PSNR, while the compression ratio increases 3 times or so.
