Abstract:
A sidemagnetism brake singlephase inductionmotor (SBSIM) for the application in electric tools was made, where a poweroff brake is needed. The axial magnetic braking force was theoretically analyzed and calculated, which was first verified by the 3D finite element method(3D FEM). Then the flux densty distribution in different airgap positions with and with out load were analyzed, and the related parameters used in the theoretical expressions of braking force were given.
