The development of a CAD system for a sand casting mold on shrinkage allowance and core holes

Abstract: The CAD modules for sand casting mold on shrinkage allowance and pattern draft have been developed and can be run in a 3D environment. It uses the programming tool of Visual C++ and the secondary development tool ObjectARX. Both modules are based on dialog box, which realizes a user-friendly operation. The ODBC database technology has been used to manage parameters in the form of a database, which will improve the accuracy and efficiency of design.
