Abstract: Interruptible loads with low price and high compensation of demand side and reserve capacity of generation side (RCGS) have been separately studied till now. All kinds of reserve capacities should be coordinated in order to improve economy of reserve capacity configuration and stable control for power system, and to effectively inhibit market power in reserve capacity market. Coordination model and optimization algorithm were proposed in the view of risk management based on their mutually supplementary properties in economy. Risk decision for RCGS was made and effects of various reserve market schemes were quantitatively studied. Simulation results were presented to validate this method.

Key words: low price with interruptible load, high compensation with interruptible load, reserve capacity of generation side, coordination optimization, risk management, electricity market
