An analytic framework of networks governance:a crossdomain coordinated gaming model

Abstract: Networks organization is one type of governing mechanisms between firms and marketing. In the views of the gaming theories, firms in networks participate in both economic transaction games and social exchanges games at the same time. Social capital in networks releases the constraints in the economic transaction games. A new coordinated games model is constructed to explain the firm's behaviors in networks. In analyzing the objective functions of a firm′s crossdomain coordination, we draw a conclusion that the investments a firm makes in productive capabilities and in networks governance capabilities must be in accordance with the contribution of economic factors and social capital in the firm's growths. Management implication is given at the end.
