Simultaneous stabilization of nonlinear portcontrolled Hamiltonian systems via output feedback

Abstract:

The simultaneous stabilization of a finite collection of nonlinear PortControlled Hamiltonian (PCH) systems is investigated in this paper, and a number of new results on the control design are proposed via output feedback. First, using the PCH systems’ structural properties and the systems’ zerostate detectability, a new control design method is developed. Then, in the case of external disturbances and/or parametric uncertainties in the PCH systems three kinds of simultaneous stabilization laws are proposed. The first one is a robust simultaneous stabilizer, the second is an adaptive simultaneous stabilizer, and the last is a robust adaptive H∞ simultaneous stabilizer. Study of an illustrative example with simulations shows that the control design methods obtained in this paper work very well.
