Study on the microstructures of insitu TiC particle reinforced

Abstract: The insitu TiC particle reinforced composites coating layer had been produced by prepared ilmenite and graphite powder on carbon steel through metallurgy interaction in tungsten arc welding. The result shows that the microstructure of coating layer includes pearlite, ferrite, martensite, residual austenitic and insitu TiC particles and the TiC particles dispersed in matrix compounds of martensite and residual austenitic. The composite coating layer has higher surface rigidity of exceed HRC 55 and better abrasion resistance property.
